A check of Wapello County WPA records shows no George Knight or John Pardoe.
Wapello county marriage records show that a George W. Knight married Martha
Watkins on 12 Jul 1865 and that George W. Knight married Sadie E. Thompson
on 17 Mar 1897. Would not care to speculate on whether this is the George
Knight you seek.

The 1850 census listed John Pardoe, minister. In 1852 he sold three farms
in Wapello Co. What became of him?

Also, are there any listings of burials in the old Garrison Rock Cemetery?
I'm looking for burial of George W. Knight who was born ca. 1776 near
Mason-Dixon Line, either Pa. or Md. He was alive as of 1850, living with
above John Pardoe.

Any help appreciated.
