The quarrel originated when one of the women alleged that the other's fence was on her ground and arrest followed. Kelly,like a Danial come to judgement instructed his constable to impanel a jury of twelve women. L WQhitsell formerly an attorney at Wardner and James Parsons were counsel in the case which created a lot of merriment because of the utter lack of knowledge by the women as to legal terms and the duties of persons sitting in jury.
