MONTPELIER — Barbara Black Hymas, 74, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2001, at Bear Lake Memorial Hospital in Montpelier. She was born June 8, 1927, in Georgetown, Idaho, to Ambrose and Alice T. Black.

She married Victor Ray Hymas on January 27, 1943, in Paris, Idaho.

She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She especially loved being with and doing things with her family.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Victor, of Montpelier; five children, Mrs. Melvin K. (Vickey) Dixon of Las Vegas, Nevada, Mrs. Lonnie V. (LaRae) Kunz of Las Vegas, Nevada, Lynn R. Hymas of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Monte R. Hymas of Smithfield, Utah, Mrs. Larry R. (Penny) Kunz of Logan, Utah; 21 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren; one brother, Berdean (Mary Lou) Black of Montpelier. She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 5 at noon in the Montpelier Second Ward LDS Chapel, where friends may call that morning from 10:30 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Liberty Cemetery, with services under the direction of Matthews Mortuary of Montpelier.
