Lawrence William Nelson, age 65, passed away June 10, 2002 in West Valley City, Utah. Born August 21, 1936 in Paris, Idaho, son of William Fredrick and Lillian Lenora Stucki Nelson. Married Helen Arlene McMillan May 17, 1958 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Worked for the Salt Lake County Fire Department for 30 years. He especially enjoyed being with his family and being in the outdoors hunting and fishing.
Survived by wife, Helen; daughters, Bonnie (Johnny) Jordan, California; Debbie (Dennis) Sumsion, West Jordan; Donna Sees, Salt Lake City; son, Michael (Jackie) Nelson, Christmas Meadows, Utah; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Roy (Julie) Hymas, St. George; Jay (Linda) Nelson, Harrisville; sisters, Tootie (Bob) Burger, Roy; Linda (Tom) Bland, Syracuse. Preceded in death by son, Steven in 1979.
Special thanks to the Hospice Care Source, especially those that cared for Larry and his family during their hour of need.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, 12:00 noon at McDougal Funeral, 4330 South Redwood Road where friends may call Friday, 6-8 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to services. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
