FORT HALL - Florence Caroline Moldenhauer Orchard, 72, passed away Sunday, August 10, 2003, at her home. Florence was born October 27, 1930, in Glenns Ferry, Idaho, to Lewis and Mona Morrison Moldenhauer. She lived in Glenns Ferry until the age of 3 and the family moved to Montpelier, and then to Pocatello. She finished her education in Pocatello, and graduated from Pocatello High School.
She married Ray Orchard on September 3, 1948, and later solemnized their marriage in the Idaho Falls Temple on July 31, 1975.
Florence worked at Non-Pareil as a head grater. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in the Idaho Falls Temple as a worker in the sealing room. Florence enjoyed doing crafts and quilts with her granddaughters, and being outdoors, especially at her home in Island Park.
She is survived by her children, Carolyn Orchard, Fort Hall, Barbara (Harold) Gerber, McCammon, Idaho, Peggy Orchard, Fort Hall, William (Ronda) Orchard, Fort Hall, Debbie (Artemio) Rojas, Boise, Idaho, David Orchard, Soda Springs, Idaho, Jeremy (Leslie) Orchard, Fort Hall; siblings, James Moldenhauer, Pocatello, Idaho, Robert (Berna Dean) Moldenhauer, Blackfoot, Idaho, and Bertie (Jack) Griggs, Connell, Wash.; 21 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray, parents and brothers, Lewis, Lloyd, Art, and Ernie Moldenhauer, great-grandchildren, Payton Orchard and Deland Schmidt.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2003, at the 44th Ward in Fort Hall, with Bishop Blake Rindlishbacher officiating. The viewing will be from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight, Tuesday, August 12, at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. Fourth Ave., Pocatello, and from 10:30 to 11 a.m. at the church prior to the service on Wednesday. Interment will follow after the service Wednesday at Grove City Cemetery.
