Elizabeth Buckley Talbot, our beloved, kind and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2004 at Mtn. View Hospital at the age of 93. She was born in Bennington, Idaho on January 23, 1911, the fourth child of twelve, to Christian and Mary Christina Hunter Buckley. She was raised around Crystal, Idaho where her parents had a dry farm. She went to the Buckley Armstrong School, named after the first families that lived there, riding a horse some 5 miles to school and back. In 1919 the family moved to Blackfoot, Idaho where her father went to work for the railroad.

She married Mark William Talbot, September 27, 1927 at Coeur d' Alene, Idaho. They were later sealed in the Provo LDS Temple. When he passed away, January 6, 1985 they had spent 58 years together.

She retired from US Steel at Geneva as an overhead crane operator for 32 accident free years. The family has been told many times by her co-workers that she could set a roll of coil in a pin hole. She enjoyed gardening, farming, crocheting, tatting and spending time with her family. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Survivors include: three daughters and a son, Nilda Bunce Phillips, Springville; Velma Swasey, Roma (Maynard) Fullmer, all of Payson; Brent (Cheryl) Talbot, Layton; a beloved daughter-in-law, Darleen Strickland, Syracuse; 25 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Floyd (Bud) Buckley, North Ogden; Leonard Buckley, Florence, Oregon; three sisters-in-law, Blanche, Irene and Lucille Buckley. She was preceded in death by a son, Mark LaVal Talbot; a granddaughter, Kathryn Elizabeth Fullmer Johnson; a great-grandson; a great-great-grandson; two sons-in-law, Lee Phillips and Arvin J. Swasey.
