ST. GEORGE, UT - Luella Maria Clayton Smith Elcock Robinson, 94, passed away March 4, 2005 in St. George, Utah. She was born April 28, 1910 to Thomas Abraham and Annie Jane Pendrey Clayton in Paris, Bear Lake County, Idaho. Luella was awarded her Teaching Degree from the University of Utah. She was an avid reader and enjoyed good books. She also found enjoyment in music, dance, traveling, hiking and being outdoors, which she enjoyed until she was no longer able. At home she enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She was a hospital volunteer and a member of the Pink Ladies in Salt Lake City, Utah and Santa Barbara, California and awarded a 500 Hour pin for her services. Luella was a member of the Unitarian Church and sang in their choir in Santa Barbara, California. Luella is survived by four children, Gerald R. (Catherine) Smith of Chelsea, MI, Barbara S. (William) Corbett of Central, UT, LouAnn S. West of St. George, UT and Karen S. (Merlin) Jensen of Rupert, ID; 17 grandchildren!
; 54 great grandchildren; and 17 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Ray E. Smith, Eli G. Elcock and David W. Robinson; and siblings, Ned, Russell, Jack, Rex and June. Graveside services will be held in the Paris City Cemetery, Paris, Idaho, Wednesday, March 9, 2005, 11 a.m. followed by a Memorial Service at the LDS Church at 12 p.m. Interment is under the direction of Metcalf Mortuary (435) 673-4221.
