Surname: BORGEN
-------------------------

Oline O. Borgen immigrated from Norway, in 1882, with her two sons, Anton
Borgen and Amund Borgen. A third son, Olaf, was killed in a sawmill accident
in Norway before the family immigrated. The accident occurred while one
brother was taking confirmation classes and Olaf was working in his place
at the sawmill.

Anton Borgen, husband of Andrena Thompson, was born in Bergen, Norway,
on October 17, 1859. He lived on his farm in Genesse, Idaho for 45 years.
He raised grain, vegatables and fruit. One year he shipped a boxcar load
of plums to market. His daughter, Hazel, shared his interest in gardening.

Amund Borgen, was born May 8, 1864 in Bergen, Norway. He lived his life
in the Genesse, Idaho area. His mother lived with him and he cared for
her during her last years. Amund's youngest daughter, Harriet Borgen, was
raised by the Ditlef Smith family. Amund, had two wives, both of whom died
at a young age, leaving Amund to raise the children alone.
