Am looking for information on Galusha (G.A.) "Lute" Sawyer, who appears
to have married in Lemhi Co. in 1895 a
Mrs. Jennie Galbraith. If he is the Galusha "Uncle Lute"
Sawyer who was half brother to my husband's grandmother, he was born in
Michigan in 1847, and would have been 48 years old in 1895. The information
found in a search of Western Marriage Records says the couple was married
in Salmon and
both were residents of now defunct Yellowjacket. Family tradition has it
that Uncle Lute went to Idaho during the gold rush...1869?...and there
I have a picture of him on the
front porch of his home in what appears to Arco, ID, but which has no date.
Would appreciate any help.
