Services Held For 35 Year Payette Resident Wednesday

Burton Eugene Nelson, 92, of Payette, died early Monday morning in his home after a brief illness.

Mr. Nelson was born Feb. 17, 1863, in Amherst, Wis. He was married April 18, 1904, in Cove, Ore., to Mary J. Miller and they moved from Cove to Payette 35 years ago.

He was a member of the Christian church.

Surviving in addition to Mrs. Nelson are four sons, Jerry S. of Opportunity, Wash., James Ellsworth of Boise, Arthur C. of Baker, Ore., and Lester E. Nelson of Grangeville; four daughters, Mrs. Dick Lightfood of Baker, Mrs. Andrew Modine of Ontario and Miss Ruth Nelson and Mrs. Jesse Smith, both of Payette, and 16 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Services were conducted at the Christian church Wednesday at 2 p.m. Interment was at Riverside under direction of Shaffer Memory chapel.
