Prominent Rancher Passes Away

Charles Henggeler passed away at his home one mile south of Fruitland Friday morning at 11:30, death being caused by erysipelas. His death came as a surprise even to near neighbors, he being ill only a short time. Mr. Henggeler owned one of the best fruit and alfalfa ranches in this part of the valley and was highly respected by all who knew him. He was a member of the Catholic church. The funeral was held Monday and the remains laid to rest in St. John's cemetery, Ontario. Rev. Father Basil, president of Mr. Angel College, of which John Hanigan is a student, officiated.

Note: According to the Idaho Death Index, Chas Henggeler was born 5-1-1854 and died 1-5-1917. ch
