Rites Held For Long-Time Resident Elizabeth Meyer

Final respects were paid Saturday to Mrs. Elizabeth Meyer, 80, of New Plymouth. Rev. John Towery officiated at the funeral and interment was at Park View cemetery in New Plymouth.

Mrs. Meyer had been a resident of Payette county for the past 50 years coming to New Plymouth March 22, 1903. She was born May 17, 1862 in Switzerland and came to the U. S. with her parents when she was one year old.

She was married Jan. 8, 1881 in Omaha, Neb., to Arthur Meyer and the couple moved to New Plymouth from Herman, Neb. Mr. Meyer engaged in the lumber then Hardware business. He died in 1931.

Mrs. Meyer was a member of the New Plymouth Congregational church.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Anna M. Creasey of New Plymouth, Mrs. Katie B. Rankin of Kennewick, Wash., and Mrs. Ella M. Landon, Payette. She has 10 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Shaffer chapel arranged the services.
