Donna,
I believe this is the place to go. I too have been looking for
Bethlehem
Church records and I believe this is the place to contact. You have to
rent
($15?) them as I recall.
My Norwegian families were active in the same church from the 1880's.
Just
in case you didn't know, it later merged with another church to become
United Church now located in Oak Park. I tried contacting them years
ago,
but didn't get a response even with a prepaid envelope. So I wouldn't
look
for much help there.
I hope this helps.

Donna,
Ok, I just learned something. The originals ARE at the United Church.
Guess what is on my next road trip list too Chicago!!! But who knows
when that will happen.
This info is from the site I sent you earlier

From the ELCA website:
Congregational records
The ELCA Archives has microfilm of Bethlehem's membership records from
1869-1874 on film #1012, 1874-1891 on film #7, 1874-1910 on film #898
and 1911-1925 on film #899. Bethlehem's original record books should be
located at United Lutheran Church, 409 Greenfield St., Oak Park, IL
60302-1143.
