I tried the searching the Diditalarkivet last night for Ole emigrating
with little luck. Today I backtracked and searched the records here.
Not sure if you have found this or if this is your Ole Anthon. I will
post it anyway--
Name: Ole Olsen
Arrival Date: 14 Apr 1884
Estimated Birth Year: 1855
Port of Departure: Christiania, Norway and Christiansand, Norway
Destination: United States of America
Place of Origin: Norway
Ship Name: Heimdal
Port of Arrival: New York
Microfilm Roll: 475
List Number: 386
And here he is leaving Oslo--
PS: Yes a farm name helps at times searching the records in Norway.
Most of my family can be found using the farm name as the last/surname
in the archives.
