Subject: [IL-CIVIL-WAR] Markers In La Junta, CO

List;

On 2/02/02, my family and I, visited the long searched for Civil War Marker
of one of my GGUncles, Pvt Anderson A. Aler 107Th IL INF, Co F. The
cemetery is named Fairview Cemetery, La Junta, CO, on the west side of town.
The marker shows his name as A. A. Aler. We took pictures, planted some
plastic flowers and an American Flag. It's taken ten years of looking to
finally find him. We found some useful information at the Woodridge Library
in La Junta and went back for a last look before going back to Denver. My
son noticed it first. As we walked around we found two other IL soldiers.
I took pictures of their stones in case someone might be interested. Their
markers read:

A. J. JOHNSON, DIED Sept. 19, 1890, AGED, 55 Years., Co. G. 28th Ills. Vol.
Inf.

Wm. M. DECKER, CO.I., 28 ILL. INF.

If anyone wants a picture, email me and I'll send you one. I do hope
there's someone out there related to these soldiers.
