Subject: Why do most younger people not study Genealogy?
Date: Tue, 1 Aug 2006 07:11:21 -0700
I suppose this is "old hat" to most of you that younger people are not interested in Genealogy.
But why? Is it because "we" never thought that things would change?
That our relatives would always be around?
That appliances would never become "extinct"?
The comic strip "Opus" this Sunday talked about all the "antiquated stuff":
Record player, VHF tape player, Walkman, film camera, manual typewriter.
Mr. Berkeley Breathed never mentioned things I knew of:
Hand cranked auto, ice box, a car's 8-tape player, toaster that opened on the sides, etc.
So tell your young'uns to start asking questions before it is too late...
