Subject: [IL-COOK-CHICAGO] Polk, Pollock, Pollack???
Date: Wed, 3 Jan 2007 09:12:08 -0800
I just read that the name Polk, as in President James Polk, is a Scottish
variation of Pollock!
It also said that Pook and Pollok are variations.
My Grandmother's name is Pollack - might this also be a variation?
I always thought that she was German, or possibly Polish.
Also, does anyone know how to get a question to the great director/actor
Sydney Pollack?
Thanks, and Happy New Year, Dave Witthans
