Harold H. Heimsoth Funeral services for Harold H. Heimsoth, 97, a resident of the Tillers Healthcare Residence in Oswego, formerly of Algonquin and Des Plaines, will be held at noon today, at the McKeown - Dunn Funeral Home, Ltd., 210 S. Madison St., Oswego. Pastor Phillip Lepak will officiate.

Born April 25, 1906, in Palatine, the son of Adolf and Augusta (nee Steinmeyer) Heimsoth, he died Monday, Feb. 23, 2004, at Tillers Healthcare. A private committal service will be held Thursday morning at the Ridgewood Cemetery, Des Plaines. Mr. Heimsoth owned and operated the Heimsoth Heating and Sheet Metal Company in Des Plaines for many years, before retirement. He had formerly been a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Des Plaines and St. John's Lutheran Church in Algonquin. He was currently a member of the Plainfield - Oswego Exploratory Mission Lutheran Church.

Harold is survived by his wife, Evelyn (nee Wille) of Oswego, to whom he was united in marriage Oct. 1, 1927, in Des Plaines; daughter, Nancy (Gordon) Goebbert of Algonquin; son, Tom (Sandra "Pete") Heimsoth of Oswego; grandchildren, Randy (Crystal) Goebbert of Kinen, Maui, Hawaii, Chris (Joy) Goebbert of Glen Ellyn, Amy (Mark) Pentecost of Danville, Ind., Jeffrey (Debbie) Heimsoth of Winfield, Julie (Tim) Young of Champaign, Kris (Kim) Spaniol of Yorkville and Kelli Spaniol of Oswego; and great-grandchildren, Emma Goebbert, Grace Goebbert, Megan Pentecost, Brooke Pentecost, Christian Goebbert, Gabriel Goebbert, Kyle Bombard, Lukas Spaniol, Sammi Spaniol and Owen Heimsoth.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Leonard and Herbert, and sisters, Marjorie, Eleanor and Mabel.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the services today, at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Plainfield - Oswego Exploratory Mission Lutheran Church, 540 Chestnut Drive, Oswego, IL 60543.
