Hi everyone,

I have a excellent book called A Slice Of Life from the GOOD OLD DAYS. It's
written by David Hammer from the Palatine Historical Society Palatine
Illinois.

David compiled this wonderful 589 page book of local news items. The
news clippings came from the micro films of the Cook County Herald
newspaper. The book is alphabetically indexed by surnames, news items, and
communities.

Anyone with roots in Schaumburg and surrounding areas wondering what life
was about in 1901, should check out this book, they will love it.

I thank Linda Valentine for telling me about this book. It's a favorite.
