Clarence William Landmeier

Clarence William Landmeier Funeral services for Clarence William Landmeier, 84, of Belvidere, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Harvard. The Rev. Michael Pfingston, pastor will officiate. Born Jan. 5, 1918, in Orchard Place (now O'Hare Field), the son of Barney J. and Caroline (nee Garlisch) Landmeier, he died Tuesday, May 7, 2002, after a lengthy illness. Burial will be in Highland Gardens of Memories. Mr. Landmeier married Laura Precht on March 24, 1940 in Elk Grove Village. In 1960 the family moved to Poplar Grove and then in 1990, he and his wife moved to Belvidere. He was a vegetable, grain and hog farmer most of his life. He raised fancy birds and grew pumpkins each year. He also worked for Starline in Harvard for many years. Clarence is survived by his daughter, Sally (John) Pederson of New Berlin, Wis.; son, Dale (Debbie) Landmeier of Belvidere; grandchildren, Karen Fischer, Kurt Pedersen, Chris (Kelly) Luckow, Brett (Erin) Landmeier and Rya!
n Landmeier; great-grandsons, Alex and Grant Fischer, Dustin and Jordon Luckow and Connie Landmeier; and his brother, Roger (Jackie) Landmeier. He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura; two brothers; two sisters; and his parents. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today, at Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Funeral Home, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, and from 1 p.m. until the time of services Friday, at the church. Memorials to St. Paul Lutheran Church in his memory would be appreciated.
