Edna Meier

Edna Meier of Arlington Heights Funeral services for Edna Meier (nee Oltendorf), 94, of Arlington Heights, formerly of Mount Prospect, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, in the St. John Chapel of The Lutheran Home, 800 W. Oakton St., Arlington Heights. Born Dec. 31, 1907, in Elk Grove Township, she died Monday, June 3, 2002, at The Lutheran Home. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Mount Prospect. A homemaker, Edna was also a member of the Ladies Aid Society of St. John's and participated in parish missions projects. In addition she belonged to a bowling league and the Mount Prospect Senior Center, and enjoyed playing bingo and cards. Survivors include her son, Edwin H. Jr. (Annette) Meier and Arlene (Orland) Brockmann; sister, Elvira (the late Fred) Dieckhoff; four grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Meier, whom she married Jan. 6, 1926; sister Elta (Raymond) Meier; one grandchild; and on!
e great-grandchild. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, at The Lutheran Home. Memorials may be made to The Lutheran Home or to a charity of one's choice. Arrangements were made by the G.L.
