Thanks Dawn...there are a couple facts I didn't know there. I am a descendant of Wilhelm Sporleder and Charlotte Vette. My mother was a Sporleder.
I have a note that the following witnessed Amanda's baptism:
Caroline Springinsgut, Wilhelmine Boger, Auguste Rolling, Auguste Gieseke
which explains why the register records her as Caroline Auguste Wilhm. AMANDA Sporleder
