They immigrated to the DuPage- Cook Co. area about 1857 from Ebstorf, Hannover, Germany.
Surnames of their descendants include- TONNE, KAISER, KRAGEL, ELLERBRUCK, BETZEL, and
ROSENWINKEL. Noted individuals include Herman Thiemann who was the first mayor of Roselle 1922-
1927 (unconfirmed) and Wilhelm Heinrich Thiemann elected to the 37th General Assembly of Illinois
from Cook Co. (1890). Any information about these individuals or their descendants would be greatly
