TOWNSHIP OFFICIALS Below, continues a listing of the TOWNSHIP OFFICIALS as determined by information recorded in this book. Using "Schaumburg Township Supervisor's Book of Records 1913-1962", a basic list was created to record the positions (some elected) of the township and who held them. They have been listed below for each year. This listing is not an official list, nor is it to be considered a complete list.... In fact, since the election happens in other than January there is overlap between years for the positions which makes it appear that there are two people in some of the positions. These instances are noted with both names gleaned from the information. If initials are used, they have been noted. There has been NO assumption as to the full name. This is important since, often, the elder or the younger were differentiated with the initial vs the given name. The researcher must use other sources to determine which individual is being referenced when an initial is used. Please notice however, in one entry, the persons name may have been recorded with an initial, but in another place within the record for that same year noting the position, the entire name was shown and so, this full name was entered. The positions noted for each year were noted in at least one place within the book. They have been duplicated throughout the listing. These positions MAY or MAY NOT have been elected. They are, however, titles used in the township records. Another booklet is in process (2004) of being created using the information noted below as a base and includes other sources of information. Look for it on the www.STDL.org website as "SCHAUMBURG TOWNSHIP OFFICIALS beginning 1850".
