Marvin H. Kruckenberg of Hawthorn Woods Visitation for Marvin H.
Kruckenberg, 80, will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the services at 11
a.m. Thursday, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 24500 N. Old McHenry Road,
Hawthorn Woods. Interment will be in St. Matthew Lutheran Cemetery, Hawthorn
Woods. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today, at Ahlgrim Family Funeral
Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich. Born Dec. 9, 1925, on the
Kruckenberg Farm in Ela Township, where he lived his entire 80 years, he
died Monday, June 5, 2006, at Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington. Mr.
Kruckenberg was the oldest lifetime member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church,
where he was sexton. He was a lifelong farmer. He was the beloved husband of
Marilyn (nee Hartwig); father of Kathy (Harry) Schildkraut, Gerald, Nancy
(Ken) McCoy, Mike (Karen) and Richard (Christina); grandfather of Rachel and
Eric Schildkraut, Josh and Kimi McCoy, and Kasey and Chandler Kruckenberg;
dear son of the late William and the late Louise Kruckenberg; brother of the
late Arthur, Wilma Klein, Wilbert, Hilda Stilke, Alean Sander, William and
Albert; and uncle of many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his
beloved dog, "Tiger" aka "Shorty." In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made
to St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 24500 N. Old McHenry Road, Hawthorn Woods,
IL 60047. Arrangements were made by Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, Lake
Zurich, 847-540-8871.
