Schaumburg's Olde Towne Center.


a.. Size of congregation: 3,900 members


a.. Spiritual leaders: the Rev. David P. Hudak, senior pastor; the Rev.
William Cate, minister of discipleship; the Rev. Eldor Richter, seniors and
outreach ministry


a.. Schedule of services: Saturday, 5 p.m.; Sunday, 8:30 a.m. (traditional
worship), 11 a.m. (contemporary/praise band); Monday, 7 p.m. (traditional).


a.. Largest turnout: Easter and Christmas with nearly 1,800 people.


a.. Biggest wish-list items: To be able to pay down our building mortgage
debt so that more dollars can be directed toward ministries and outreach.


a.. Most memorable service: Dedication of the new church when Schaumburg
Germany's Prince Phillip Ernst and the Lutheran bishop of Schaumburg,
Germany, joined nearly 1,200 people to dedicate the new church building.


a.. A volunteer you would like to highlight: Ruth Gehrke has volunteered for
office assistance, bulletin and publications distribution, Altar Guild
coordinator, Finance Committee Stewardship Campaign coordinator and much
more. We are blessed with other fine volunteers as well.


a.. Programs offered: St. Peter Lutheran School, CrossWays Bible Study, ESL
Conversation Classes, Community Memorial Day Observance for more than 45
years.


a.. Most prized treasure: Traveling Trunk brought to America in the 1840's
by Friederich Nerge (founding member), which contained all his earthly
belongings including his German Bible, Hymn Buch and Catechism, now located
in our museum
