Richard D. "Dick" Wiese

MARENGO - Richard D. "Dick" Wiese, 80, of Marengo, died Thursday, April
1, 2010, at home surrounded by his family.

He was born July 30, 1929, in Elgin, to Walter and Francis (Bellows)
Wiese. On June 5, 1976, he married Alberta "Birdie" Lowery at St. John's
Lutheran Church in Elgin.

He was the co-owner of Wiese's Blvd. Tap in Elgin for 35 years and owner
of Kim.Cath Lounge and Sky's Surf & Turf in South Elgin. After retiring,
he worked at Marengo Ridge Golf Course for 22 years. He was an avid
golfer who could be seen on the golf course every day. His sense of
humor will never be forgotten.

He is survived by his wife, Birdie; his children, Kim (Danny)
Wiese-Sanchez of California, Keri Williams of Elgin, Kevin (Kelly) Wiese
of Elgin and Molly Faris of California; seven grandchildren; five
great-grandchildren; and his sister, Geraldine Hagemann.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his infant daughter, Kirsten;
and his brother, Robert.

The visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, at Zion
Lutheran Church, 412 Jackson St., Marengo.

The visitation will continue from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral
Wednesday, April 7, at the church.

Interment will be private.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society
