My grandfather, Orshen Roy Clark, AKA Pike Clark or Cap Clark was a Judge or Justice of the Peace in the Thebes/Alexander County area sometime before 1960. I know he lived in Thebes when he died, sometime around 1965. He also was a supervisor on the railroad, travelling the lines with a gang of rail construction men. My father and his family lived on a railcar with them, travelling all around whereever they were needed. We have numerous pictures of this time, but sadly no one to identify any of them. The period would be from around 1920 to 1930 or there abouts.Orshen Roy Clark is a family name passed along from grandfather to my father, and to me. It is a rather unique name and no one knows where it came from. Any help with look-ups or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
