Ted,
1910 census for Pasceola, MO, which is I believe just across the river
from Alexander, in Pemiscot County.. I'll have to check... anyway, my g
grandfather John was there, on the census, listed as a boarder and widowed,
next door to what must have been his in-laws, because his daughter Gladys
Williamson is listed in their household as granddaughter.

Stout, John W. Head male 57 yrs Married1
Ida Wife fem 46 yrs Married1
Samuel Son male 30 yrs widowed
Harry Son male 17 yrs single
Bernice Son male 14 yrs single (I know Bernice is a girls name, but
that's what it looks like on the film)
Dilbert son male 12 yrs single
Williamson, Gladys g-daughter female 7 yrs

On that same page:

Morris <sp?>, Lee Head 54 Married2
Ida Wife 36 Married2
Thomas Son 4
Stout, Ira son-in-law 21 Married1
Mary daughter 14 married1


Don't know if any of those Stouts do you any good.
There are a bunch of boarders in that last household, and I am not sure of
the surname spelling, the handwriting is not the best. Morris, Marins? Can't
tell, there is an i because I see the dot on top.

There seems to be a lot of families that slipped back and forth across the
river, at least in my research.
If this info is a match for you, I have the census microfilm image here, I
will be glad to share.

One of the records I am looking at right now shows her as Bertha Lee Stout,
I am not sure if Lee was her maiden name, perhaps she was a Lee and married
a Stout before she married John A

I tried to find Bertha Stout but the one I found in Illinois came from a
different line than mine.

I found a Bertha Mae Stout married Harvey M. Williams but no Williamson in
the Illinois Marriage Database. Did you John and Bertha marry somewhere
else?
