For copies of wills you can write the Circuit Clerk - Probate Division at
Bond County. Also Check the IRAD listings on their web site at the state
archives. Under Bond it will show you what they have microfilmed. Going
to the IRAD is cheaper than the courthouse. Also there is a lot of
information in the probate file. Not every probate file has a will so if
you can't find something in the will book, it doesn't mean a file doesn't
exist. You need to check the probate listings. The probate file includes
a statement regarding date of death, heirs, value of the estate, list of
inventory, date of sale, and disbursement. Also check guardian records
also with the Office of the Circuit Clerk.
