Hi,
I just joined this list.
A Clinton County researcher brought the recent
discussion about the SAVAGE family to my attention.
Last summer I visited the Madison County library in
Edwardsville. I found a Family Group Sheet that
Savage researchers might find interesting.
It was compiled about 15 years ago by Marsha Bovee. I
wrote to her but did not receive a reply.
Sheet #1:
Husband - William/John Savage
Wife - Lydia?
Children -
1. Rosanna, b. 1800 in KY, m. to William Duncan, d.
1852.
2. Ruth, b. 1802 in KY, m. Herbert Hobbs, d. 1876.
*Herbert(Harbert) and Ruth were my g.g. grandparents.*
3. Thomas Brown, b. 1807 in KY, m. 1829 in Bond Co. to
Frances Robinson, d. 1857 in St. Louis MO
4. James m. Tabitha ?

I'll just list the ten children for now:
William F., Lydia Jane, Rebecca Ann, John Thomas,
Daniel Boone, Mary (lived 2 years), Sarah (lived 3
years), David M., Harriette McClara, James Thomas.

Although it states that Thomas and Frances were
married in Bond County, it says that all the children
were born at Highland and several family members were
buried at Gullick Cemetery in Madison County near
Highland.

Could this be the family you are discussing?
