Subject: [ILBOND] Lena Johnson?? at Bouillon & Tahalman wedding
Date: Sun, 29 Jul 2001 20:32:52 -0500

In my grandparents old family Bible was a brittle old newspaper clipping of a wedding announcement, undated. My grandmother had to have clipped this and saved it.

The bride & groom are apparently unrelated to my family, but the announcement mentions "Miss Lena JOHNSON" as the person who played the Wedding March - (probably on piano as it was a home wedding). The clipping has no date, but the wedding took place "5 miles west of Pocahontas (IL)". Bride was a "Laurena BOUILLON" of Pocahontas, groom was a " O. Jay TAHALMAN" of Troy.

I only have 2 Lena Johnson's in my family database:
1) Dau of Heie B & Helena; 1872-1959; married to Louis BRACKENBUSH (n.d.). But she was apparently a deaf mute so quite unlikely to be playing piano.
2) Dau of Jurgen J & Trentje; 1892-1971; married to William PEREBOOM (1910); but she was born in Iowa & married, lived & died in Oklahoma.

Does anyone have any idea what "Lena Johnson" this might be?
