Will C. Fowler, a former Greenville boy stationed at Camp Merritt, Dumont,
New Jersey, died June 20, 1918. Private Fowler enlisted only five weeks ago
at Jefferson Barracks.
He was born in Oklahoma and moved to this city with his parents, Mr. and
Mrs. J.C. Fowler at the age of 12 years. He is survived by his parents,
four brothers, Charles, Jesse, Henry and Frank and by four sisters, Mrs.
Will Myers of Wisetown, Mrs. Daisy Holt of Hartman, Arkansas, Mrs. Irma
Schweitzer of Sullivan and Opal Fowler, at home. Burial at Montrose
cemetery. Obituaries from the Greenville Advocate, compiled by Nelda Neer
