-------------------------

I, William C. Jacobs, of Town of Rock Creek in the County of Carroll and
State of Illinois being of sound mind and memory, and considering the uncertainty
of this frail and transitory life, do therefore make, ordain, publish and
declare this to be my Last Will and Testament.

First, I order and direct that my Executor hereinafter named pay all my
just debts and funeral expenses as soon after my decease as conveniently
may be.

Second, After the payment of such funeral expenses and debts, I give, devise
and bequeath unto my beloved wife, Elizabeth B. Jacobs, all the real estate
of which I shall die seized, to have and to enjoy the income thereof during
her natural life, and I desire this bequest to be in lieu of her dower
and homestead interests.

Third, I give and bequeath all the personal property of which I shall die
seized to my beloved wife Elizabeth B. Jacobs, to have and to own absolutely.
This bequest to be in lieu of the widows award allowed by the statutes
of Illinois.

Fourth, After the death of my beloved wife, I give unto my four daughters,
Lucy Liberton, Emma Atherton, Libbie Arnold and Annie Cotta, all of my
real estate, wherever situated, to own absolutely in fee simple, after
the expiration of the life estate of my wife, Elizabeth B. Jacobs.

Fifth, I have this day deeded a property in Lanark, Illinois to my son,
John T. Jacobs, which I mean for his share in my estate.

Lastly, I make, constitute and appoint John T. Jacobs (without any bond
other than his individual bond) to be Executor of this my Last Will and
Testament, hereby revoking all former Wills by me made.

In Testimony Whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my
seal, the Fifth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand nine
hundred and Three.

William C. Jacobs [seal]

This Instrument was on the day of the date thereof, signed, published and
declared by the said testator William C. Jacobs to be his Last Will and
