Hi Kathy,

I wonder if we could have two Thomas Reeves? One who married Savicy Young
in White Co on 6-21-1839 and one who married Mary Shepard in Clay Co on
10-1-1839?

The only info I have on Savicy Young is her marriage record in White Co.

What plagues me is the conflict of data between the 1840 census and the 1850
census for Clay Co. In 1840 there are two members of the Thomas Reeves
family. In 1840 the one male 20-30 (1809-1820) matches Thomas on the 1850
which shows him as 33 (1816/1817). However, the one female on the 1840 is
15-20 (1819-1824) but this female does not match the Elizabeth on the 1850
census who is 33 (1816/1817). Any ideas?

Thanks,
Eldon

Eldon,

Below are the marriages I have for Thomas Reeves.

Thomas Reeves and Mary (Elizabeth) Shepard on Oct 1, 1839, Clay County
Thomas Reeves and Sarah Margaret Young on Aug 14, 1853, Clay County Thomas
Reeves and Martha Beard Dec 22, 1862, Clay County

So, I am assuming the Elizabeth on the 1850 census is Mary Shepard. ( also,
the 1840)

I would be interested in any info you have on Savicy Young. (She must have
died right after her marriage, or was there a divorce?)

Thanks,
Kathy
