Trenton is in Sugar Creek Twp. but Sugar Creek
Cemetery is in Madison County, near St. Morgan - i/e
just north of the Clinton County line. "Sugar Creek"
was historically referred to as a community, but not
necessarily a town or township. As far as I can tell,
it encompassed the rural area between Highland and
Trenton.
So, when I saw that Thomas Hobbs was buried at Sugar
Creek, the first thing I thought of was the Sugar
Creek Cemetery, which is quite close to the farms of
my ancestors:)
