I have a picture I took of the gravestone of Father Toennies several years
ago. Below is the inscription:

Reverend Gerard Toennies
Founder of
New Baden Parish
Pastor of
St. Michael's Church
Paderborn ILL
Born Nov 12 1864
Died December 24 1937

Somewhere I have a picture of him. Will have to look.
