In response to the Effie Spivey queries. I have only a little information on her. A few years back a friend of mine ask me to help with her family genealogy, which is the Thomas Hardin lineage. To get started she provided this bit of information:
Thomas Hardin born 1867 died 1928
married Effie Jane Spivey 17-Nov-1897 in Clark co., IL
Effie Jane Spivey born 1879 died 1918
My friend thought that Thomas Hardin had been married before Effie.
I wish I had more information for you , but perhaps this will help a little.
