Though this is not part of my family tree, I happened to come across this posting on the obituary of Mrs. Thomas E. Watson, which tied into Watson burials in Rocky Ford, Otero County, Colorado. Rocky Ford is 60 miles southeast of Pueblo, and is famous for its cantaloupe crops.

According to the World War I Registrations Cards available online at the Denver Public Library, son Ivan L. Watson was born in neighboring county Carlisle, Sullivan County, Indiana on March 6, 1891. It appears he was married at least two, maybe three times.

Ivan married a Hazel Downey in 1913 in Otero County; a second marriage to Ethel Fitzpatrick in 1921 in Denver which ended in divorce in 1923; and a possilbe third marriage in 1924 to Thelma Stover in Denver.

A RootsWeb Gedcom submitted by Tami Bunch called "Stubbs/Bunch Family Tree' submitted January 2004 has Thomas E. Watson married to Martha S. Johnson with a child named Elsie Watson born 1876 in Carlisle, Sullivan County, Illinois. Elsie married Albert Thomas Bunch.

The following Watsons are buried at Valleyview Cemetery, Rocky Ford, Otero County, Colorado

Claude Clifford Watson, born October 19, 1879-1922. Registered in Bent County during World War I.
James M. Watson, 1870-1951
Kinsey A. Watson, born 1843-MD-1915 Civil War Verteran-14th Regular U. S. Infantry-Army.

Martha S. Watson; wife of Thomas E. born November 1, 1852; died June 27, 1923
Ruby Anna Watson, born 1883; d. 1947
Thomas E. Watson, born November 18, 1847 Indiana; died December 18, 1916.
