I think you probably have the right family I am looking for. It threw me off because I have her as Maria A. Green ( McEvoy ) born in Ireland abt. 1869, but the age you have her at originally in the 1870 census makes her a little bit closer in age to her husband James D. McEvoy. You also have the name the similar and have a brother Tim. The biggest difference in the family you have is the first name Mary instead of Maria, which is very close, the age difference of abt. 10 years, and the city of Waynesville instead of Wapella. I assume they are close together, because it looks like the family you had was also in Wapella in 1870.
The family I was looking at was the Greene family:
Greene, Margret W F 39 Head Keeping House Ireland
James M. W M 20 Son Grocer Dealer Illinois
Mary A. W F 18 Dau At Home Illinois
Katie J. W F 14 Dau At School Illinois
Maggie W F 12 Dau " Illinois
