John Jones, son of William Jones who died 1839 Overton Co. TN, came to Illinois and had sons Preston, Albert and Campbell. I am trying to find out if they are related to James J. Jones and wife Margaret Jones (Maiden name), dau of John Jones and Arena Hatfield. Most of Margaret's family remained in MIssouri and Tenneseee but I can't find James' family. James born 1839 in TN and died 1899 Santa Anna Township, Dewitt, IL. Margaret married Henry Baker and died in 1920 at Weldon, Dewitt, IL. My Jones family married into Newberry and Hall families in Farmer City area.
