That is true, while doing some lookups for DuPage Co. with their marriage
listings, I have found that sometimes the names does not show up on the State
listings, it's rare but it has happned, vice versa.
I thought the DuPage listings were extracted from the states but some how a
few might have been missed. Possible that the marriage was never sent in to
the state from the county.
The spellings of names is sometimes enough to make you pull your hair out,
case in point was the name Backard, looked all over everything and the name
did not appear, then I looked at the marriages under the spouses name, they
married a Packard !
Everything was under the Packard name, not Backard.
