Hi Debbie,

What a great story! Where in Ireland were you? I, too, have Illinois and Irish roots. I also went for the first time last August. My sister and our spouses took our mom for her 80th birthday. We visited the west -- Galway, Connemara, Shannonbridge, Athlone. I only begun to search my roots last April. I did manage to discover that my gg gf John Boyle, immigrated from Co. Galway in 1822 and that my maternal gg gp were born in Ireland -- just don't know where yet. I want to go back, too.
