ANDREW J. REA, JR.
BENTON
Andrew Jackson REA, Jr., 76, of 915 N. Grand, died at 1:35 a.m. Tuesday,
June 30, 1998, at his home.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Hobbs-Johnson
Funeral Home, with the Rev. Roger ELLSWORTH officiating. Burial, with
military rites, will be in the Masonic and Odd Fellows Cemetery. Friends
may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home where Masonic Rites
will be conducted at 7 p.m.
Mr. REA was born Feb. 2, 1922, in Franklin County, the son of Andrew
Jackson REA, Sr. and Flora (MOSLEY) REA. He married the former Imogene
HARRIS on May 22, 1971 and she survives.
He was a retired employee of the Franklin Hospital, a U.S. Army veteran
of World War II, a member of the Benton V.F.W. Post 2671, a fifty-year
member of the Benton Masonic Lodge, Past Master, Past District Deputy Grand
Master of the 14th Southern District, Grand Lecturer, and a member of the
Knights Temple. He had been a member of Immanuel Baptist Church since 1970.
Survivors include his wife, Imogene REA, Benton; two nephews, David REA,
West City, Bob SCRUTCHFIELD, Bangor, Maine; three nieces, Vicki GLOSEMEYER,
Marthasville, Mo., Judy BENTLEY, Augusta, Ga., and Marilyn DIRDEN, St.
Charles, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, six sisters, Fleta, Pauline,
Audrey, Juanita, Opal, Verbra, and two brothers, Guy and Verbal.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Immanuel Baptist Church.
