"Tidbits, News Articles From The Benton Evening News 1920-1930" by Carla
Pulliam, page 17; 3 Feb 1921 issue:

Quincy Everett BURGESS, son of Robert and Elizabeth WILLIAMS BURGESS, was
born near Benton, November 19, 1866, and died January 28, 1921, aged 54y 2m
9d. In his father's family were born 4 children, 2 sons and 2 daughters.
The daughters died in infancy. Quincy was the third to enter the beyond,
leaving his brother, Addison F. BURGESS of Benton. In 1886 he was united in
marriage with Miss Deliah STAR. To this union were born 2 children, Herbert
Clyde and Alma. The son died in early childhood, the daughter, now Mrs.
John SHARP, Logan, IL., survives. In 1896 Quincy suffered the loss of his
wife, and he was again married to Miss Ella EASLEY of Benton. They had 7
children, 4 daughters and 3 sons. Three, Leslie, Virginia and an infant
died in early years, leaving Robert Earle, Valerie Pearl, Carmen Eilene,
and Quincy Everett BURGESS Jr."

Then, same book, page 20, is: (10 Mar 1921 issue)

"Addison F. BURGESS died at his home west of Benton on Thursday. His
brother, Quincy BURGESS, died just 1 month and 6 days ago. He was born in
Benton in 1870, son of Robert and Elizabeth WILLIAMS BURGESS and was the
last of a family of 2 sons and 2 daughters. On 14 April 1894 he wed Miss
Iva VANCEL and of this union 6 sons and 1 daughter were born: Clarence,
Harold, Fay, Richard, Herbert, Robert and Raymond BURGESS. He taught school
for 10 years in Franklin County and assisted in various County Offices but
mainly he was a farmer. Burial was at Masonic and Oddfellows Cemetery,
Benton, Illinois."
