MARY YORK
Mary F. YORK, 77, of Des Arc, Ark., a native of Benton and formerly
of Vienna died 2 a.m. Jan. 30, 1999, at Beverly Health Center in Searcy,
Ark.
She retired from Union Pacific Railroad of Omaha, Neb.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Miller Funeral Home in
Metropolis with the Rev. Leland HAYDEN officiating. Burial will be in
Vienna Fraternal Cemetery in Vienna.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour Tuesday at the
Miller Funeral Home in Metropolis.
Mrs. YORK is survived by one son, Ed YORK of Metropolis; one
daughter, Judy LAUVER of Des Arc, Ark.; six grandchildren, John
PRESSGROVE of Des Arc, Ark., Rod PRESSGROVE of Council Bluffs, Iowa,
Jennifer LAUVER of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Ron YORK of Omaha, Neb., Rhonda
BARRALL of Centralia and Sabra ELLIS of Lawrenceville, Ga.; and five
great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Florence
(STEPHENSON) DAUGHERTY; her husband, Master Sgt. Elmer H. YORK; and one
sister, Edna SHAPINSKY.
She was of the Methodist faith.
