Geez, you steal one horse blanket and they brand you a criminal. Steal the
whole farm and they elect you to Congress. John B

PHOTOS OF JESSE JAMES IN GREENVILLE ILLINOIS, 1869 AND AGAIN IN 1870.

I found this PHOTOS PAGE It listed 2 Jesse James photo taken at
"Greenville=20
Illinois" . Does anyone know anything about Jesse James in Franklin County?

ALLEN CHARLES Carr 1872-1951 lived less than a mile to the North and west of
Greenville with his family. He told a story of Jesse James Stealing horse
blankets from his fathers (John Richardson CARR m: Druzilla Bowyer in Dec
1864) Barn about 1880 or so. Greenville is where the East Fork Cemetery is
now and there was a store there and a Distillery. Story is that you could
buy Whiskey in the store but you had to keep it corked inside the store.

James M. Carr
