OPAL PAYNE
Opal L. PAYNE, 81, of rural Dix died 2:15 p.m. Feb. 2, 2002,
at her home. She was retired from Rockwell International.
Mrs. PAYNE was born Jan. 15, 1921 in Mt. Vernon to George
and Dana (BRAZEL) CORRELL. She married Glen PAYNE Nov. 16,
1947 in Dix; he died April 2, 1993. Funeral services will be
at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Irvin Funeral Home in Centralia.
The Rev. Arnold PETERSON will officiate. Burial will be at
the Mt. Catherine Cemetery near Woodlawn. Friends may call
from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Irvin Funeral Home in
Centralia.

She is survived by one son, Charles PAYNE and wife Linda of
Dix; three sisters, Alta TINSLEY of Boyd, Wilhelmine BEAL of
Mt. Vernon and Norma Jean BARR of Boyd; three grandchildren,
Charles Glen PAYNE, Donna Mae PAYNE and Amy Lucille PAYNE.
She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Mrs.
PAYNE was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a
son, George PAYNE. Irvin Funeral Home is assisting the
family with funeral arangements and you may call at 532-5511
for information.
