HENRY AUSTIN HILL
Caseyville

Henry Austin Hill, 81 and a former resident of Benton died at 2;10 pm Monday
April 8, 2002 at his home.

Fuenral services will be a 2 pm on Firday April 12 at the Hobbs-Johnson
Funeral Home in Bento with Rev Wayne Miller, officiating and burial will be
in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery at Valier. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm on
Thursday at the funeral home.

R. Hill was born Feb 13, 1921 in Benton the son of ALbert and Pearl May
(Johnson) Hill and he married the former Evlen Aliene Akin on June 26, 1940
and she survives. they would have celebrated their 62nd Anniversary in
June.

He was a former St. Clair County Deputy Sherrif, a security guard for
Pinkerton's Security, police officer in National City and Chief of Police in
Caseyville.

He retired as owner of O.K. Tree Service, Casey ville. He was a member of
the National Law Enforcement Officers Association, NRA and AFSCME. He was a
minister of the Gospel and a member of the Church of Jesus Chrits, State
Park, Il.

He is survived by his wife and seven children, Don and Pam Hill of
Caseyville, Henry Hill and Joyce of Haleyville, Als, Brend and husband Joe
White of Mt. Olive, Patsy and husband Ron Roberts of Fairview Heights, David
and wife Linda Hill of Clouchester, Va, Ricky Hill and wife Donna of
Chester, Philip Hill and wife Shawn of Breeze, 90 granchildren and great
grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a half-sister Mandy and an infant
sister Sara and a brother, Thomas Lee Hill.


LEROY FIELDS
Wood River

Leroy Fields, 77 died Tuesday APril 9, 2002 at St Anthony's Health Center in
Alton.

Services will be eheld at noon on Thursday, April 11 at Kassly Mortuary,
9900 St. Clair Ave Fairview Heights with rev. G. Mike Smith, officiating and
burial in Jefferson Barracks Cemetery Mo. Firends may call from 4-9
pm on Wednesday to the Mortuary. the Gothic Lodge #852 Af and AM will have
ritual at 7 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Fields was born November 12, 1924 in eaast St Louis the son of Leroy and
Edith (Dreier) Fields. He married Lorraine (Marty) Fields and she survives.

Lery retired as a Lieutenant from Eaast St Louis Police Dept where he worked
for 30 years. He was amember of the Ill Ppolice Association and later worked
as a journeyman pipe fitter local # 553 in Alton. He was a member of
Gothic Lodge # 852 AF and AM of Belleville, Scottisdhe Rites Bodies of
Souther Il, Aniad Temple of East St Louis, Ainad Stage Crew and the U> S.
Merchant Marines Vet.

In addition to hsi wife he is survived by one daughter, Edith Lee (John )
Jones of Benton, one son Michael Fields of St Louis, two grandchildren Mons
R. (David) Booker of West Frankfort and Michael Jones, one great
granddaughte, Emily Booker of West Frankfort. A special Mona Powell of
Benton, dear beloved brother-in-law, Uncle and Step-father.

Mr. Fields was preceded in death byhis parents an infant brother RObert
Fields.

BOB BAKER'West City

Bob Baker, 70 died Sunday April 7, 2002 in St. Johns Hospital in
Springfield.

Services will be at 11 am Thursday in the Poulson Funeral Home in Benton
iwith Rev. Larry Clyatt, officiating and burial will be in the Mulkeytown
Cemetery with Military rites. Friends may call Wednesday from 5-8 pm and
Masonice rites will be at 7 pm.

Mr. Baker was born July 8, 1931 in west frankfort the son of Jesse and Mary
Elizabeth (Carpenture) Baker. He was married to Marie (Phillips) Thomas and
she preceded him in death.
