CAROLYN MUMBOWER
WEST CITY

Carolyn S. MUMBOWER 55, died Oct. 28, 2002 at home after a long battle with cancer.

Born May 2, 1947 a daughter of Alfred and Gladys (CARLISLE) JOHNSON and she married Lee Roy MUMBOWER on Oct. 26, 1963 in Pekin and he survives.

She worked as an aide in the Benton Grade School System. She attended the West City Church of God.

Survivors are her husband, a daughter Christy OWENS and husband Kent of Benton, sons; Lee and Char MUMBOWER of Benton and Steve and Amy MUMBOWER of West City. A brother Danny (Sherry) JOHNSON of Benton, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jerry (Gloria) MUMBOWER of West Frankfort and a sister-in-law Elva Dean STEINSULTZ of Florida., grandsons Chase and Drew.

Preceded in death by her parents a son Eric and a brother Randall Dale JOHNSON and a sister Donna Jean JOHNSON.

Services 1 pm Oct 31, 2002 at Morton-Johnston Funeral Home in Benton with Rev. Ron TROUT and Rev. Robert DIAL, officiating and burial in M & OF Cemetery in Benton. Visitation 6-8:30 pm Wed, to the funeral home.

Johnny NOCIAR 83 died in Mt. Vernon Hospital Oct. 30, 2002.

Graveside service on Saturday 2 pm at Abner Cemetery with Rev. Jesse ALLEN, officiating. No visitation. Arrangements by Johnston Funeral Home ,

Born in Wilsonville May 1, 1919 to Mike and Cecelia (STURIK) NOCIAR and he married Feb 6, 1946 to Dorothy DAVIS and she died June 24, 1996,

Vet of WWII and a purple heart recipient.

Survivors are son, Kevin Ray (Kim) NOCIAR of Ina, daughters; Joyce (Paul) HONNOLD of Kansas, Il and Debbie (Terry) ADAMS of Belle Rive., Grandchildren, Sarah and Jeff NOCIAR of Ina, Matt HONNOLD and wife Corrie of Decatur, Mike HONNOLD of Peoria, Erin FEINSTEIN and husband Mike of Ottuma, Ia., Joshua ADAMS and wife Lindsay of Belle Rive, Seth ADAMS of Cambria and Stacey TAYLOR and husband Wm of Mt. Vernon, four grant grandchildren an two nephews Daniel CHWALISZ of Woodstock and James CHWALISZ of Skokie.

Preceded in death by his parents, wife a son Ronnie, brother and sister.

Sean E. BURROUGHS 29, died Oct 29, 2002 in Boone Co, Mo

Services 11 am Sat Nov. 2, 2002 Gilbert Funeral Home in Christopher with Bro Larry HALLMAN, officiating and burial in Tower Heights Cemetery, in West Frankfort. Visitation after 6 pm Friday at the funeral home.

Born Jan 18, 1973 in Herrin to Charlie POE and Brenda GROVE and he married Rachel CRAIG and she also survives.

Other survivors is his children, Tora BECKETT of Vergennes and Jacob BURROUGH, Gage BURROUGHS and Hannah BURROUGHS of West Frankfort. Brothers Daniel BURROUGHS of West Frankfort and Eric POE of Thompsonville and aunt and uncle, Cecil and Lucille GROVE

He was a steeplejack and fell to his death.
